The Monterey Institute is world-renowned and provides excellent academic as well as language preparation for students interested in working in the international arena as diplomats, business managers, translators and interpreters, policy makers, teachers, etc. We also provide intensive foreign language study in eight or three-week language programs in the summer and winter. Our ESL classes are on-going and cater to all levels of students and if you are interested in a customized language program for English or any other language you will be able to arrange training courses through our Custom Language Services Department. Upon arriving at the Monterey Institute, students are struck by its informality and friendliness. With approximately 700 students and 70 full-time resident faculty, the Institute is a close-knit, welcoming community. Faculty and staff are readily available to meet with students, and students themselves are eager to share their experiences. Most students and faculty have studied or worked abroad and are receptive to new people and new views.
