Spanish Study and Cultural Immersion in Seville

Description:
Our school was founded in 1983 and is located in the center of the city just a few minutes walk from the Town Hall, Cathedral and the Royal Palaces. The school is housed in a beautiful yet typical Sevillian style building with a large central patio area, which is surrounded by Roman columns, very impressive for a language school. The school has an annex building located a few minutes walk away, this is normally used for Teacher training as well as any special group programs. The school can hold about 250 students per day and have a wide range of students coming mainly from Europe but also North America and Brazil.
Highlights:
Seville certainly is one of the most beloved places by visitors to Spain. Although today Moorish influence is architecturally most evident - Andalusia was occupied by Moors for about 800 years -it has been a cultural center long before. The fertility of this land and its favored climate with mild winters and about 3000 hours of sun per year (if you have visited it in August, where temperatures can arrive to some 47°C, perhaps you will deny to call it favored) made Phoenicians and Carthaginians settle here. Later came the Romans, two of their emperors, Trajan and Hadrian, in fact were born here. Seville was also once the home of famous and infamous figures of history, the legendary "Don Juan" started from here to conquer the hearts of women across all Europe, while Columbus started from a port close to Seville to discover a new world. When you visit this city, you are in the very heart of Andalusian culture, the center of bullfighting and Flamenco music. The romantic part of town "Barrio Santa Cruz "is formerly the district of Moors and Jews, is located right in the historical center of Seville.

Cost Include Description:
STANDARD: 4 lessons daily plus 4 cultural classes per week (24 lessons per week)
or
INTENSIVE: 6 lessons daily plus 4 cultural classes per week (34 lessons per week)- Use of teaching materials and instructional documents.
- Placement test on the first Monday at beginning of course.
- Choice of accommodation in host family or apartment (shared or private rooms, shared rooms available only to two students travelling together)
- Maximum class size: 10 students.
- Cultural and social activities: including spanish culture classes (e.g. art history, literature, cooking)
- Language proficiency certificate at end of program upon request.
