Study English in Toronto, Canada
Canada
Dates: Start dates at least twice a month, all year round.
Description:
Toronto Languages Plus combines a charming heritage building, an unparalleled location at the centre of one of the world's great cities, a funky 'boutique' ambience and a professional approach to teaching English. All of the staff at Toronto Languages Plus believes that when learning a language, the overall experience and location are as important as the course curriculum. Located a short walk from the majority of Toronto's many attractions, Toronto Languages Plus occupies a building built in the 1870s - just a few short years after Canada became an independent nation. Once home to a girls' school many decades ago, it has come full circle to once again offer educational opportunity - this time for both genders! The school is situated downtown, in a historic part of the city known affectionately as 'Cabbagetown.' The Cabbagetown area perfectly mirrors Toronto's status as the most multicultural city in the world. The local residents come from a wide variety of national and ethnic backgrounds yet share a very strong sense of community spirit and pride. This fashionable community is well known for its carefully restored and maintained Victorian homes. It is also widely recognized as a lively centre of the arts. To add to the area's unique charm, there is a working farm with free access to several acres of wooded paths, ponds, butterfly-herb-vegetable-flower gardens as well as outdoor paddocks and two barns full of live farm animals. Within 10-15 minutes, students can walk to major shopping malls, world-class museums, theatres, sports stadiums and literally hundreds of restaurants offering cuisine from the far corners of the world. The school itself features bright, cheerful colours, a grand central staircase, 7 modern classrooms and full facilities for study and recreation. School facilities: * 7 bright classrooms - maximum 8 students per class * Large, open reception area * Student social area with lounge and chairs * Private and spacious outdoor terrace area with patio furniture and barbeque * Free internet access in a computer lab featuring 4 desktop units * Student kitchen with 2 microwave ovens, full-size fridge * Student lounge with TV / DVD * Dedicated teacher's room * Student eating area for snacks * 2 vending machines * Full washroom facilities
Highlights:
CN Tower, Sky Dome, City area's - China town, Greek town and little Italy, Theatre district, Cottage country and Algonquin Park, Lake Ontario, Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa (2 hrs).
