Description: At WideBay TAFE you will study the Certificate in Spoken and Written English. There are 4 Certificate levels, Certificate I, II, III and IV in Spoken and Written English. It takes about 300 hours (12 weeks) to study each Certificate level.

Your High School Program provides you with the opportunity to complete your formal education in a supportive and safe environment. Modern facilities combined with highly trained staff and up to date resources ensure you are able to meet your potential. The High School program is conducted at the Hervey Bay Senior College. By providing a mature learning environment, you are encouraged to become independent learners, well equipped for future study. On completion of the High School Program, you will receive a Senior Certificate and may fulfil the entry requirements for TAFE Diploma and University Programs, depending on subjects selected and results obtained. You will have access to facilities of the highest standard, including a Multimedia Laboratory, Gymnasium, Auditorium, Film Studio, Library, Electronic Learning Centres (with Internet access), Tennis Courts, Playing Fields, Training Restaurant, Canteen and Sound Studio. As an International High School student you will be enrolled in our Academic English Course in order to ensure you receive the necessary support in this area.

Highlights: Your International Student Support Officer organises social activities outside of English class times. Students can learn to dance, go to festivals, go to a local school to talk with children, go fishing, wind surfing, horse riding, and sometimes go for weekend excursions to the Sunshine and Gold Coast. Each of the activities will help you have fun in Australia and give you the opportunity to talk to Australians.

Airport reception and transfer to WideBay TAFE - AUD $120.00.
Homestay accommodation is approximately AUD $180.00 per week - Fees must be paid directly to the Homestay provider.
There is no charge for accommodation placement.
