Founded in 2003, Vietnam Language Centre is a subsidiary of Vietnam Global Network, a Singapore-based consulting firm which promotes and offers assistance in trade and investment, education and training in Vietnam, Singapore and the Asia Pacific region. Introduction Our courses are to help participants learn Vietnamese in an integrated approach. Participants will be exposed to the language and broaden their knowledge of Vietnam. They will develop more interest in Vietnam for employment and business opportunities. Types of courses * Basic Course This foundation course will provide a general overview of Vietnamese language and present its most distinct features that differ from English. Exposure to the language will help participants better understand the socio-economic and cultural environment in Vietnam. By the end of the course, participants will acquire basic skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing and make themselves understood in simple conversation. * Intermediate-cum-Business Course This course will enhance the four basic communicative skills and help participants build up more confidence in speaking Vietnamese. It is also designed for professionals and business people who wish to develop communication skills in business contexts. Class participants will be exposed to a wider range of topics in daily life communication. Topics like business etiquette, negotiation and cultural interraction will also be included. By the end of the course, participants will acquire communicative skills in Vietnamese at a higher level and engage in conversation on topics of their personal interest or for business purposes. Methodology Our native Vietnamese instructors will adopt an integrated approach using role-plays, pair-works, group-work and other interactive activities. Class size is limited to a maximum number of six participants. Participants will learn the fun way and are immerged in Vietnamese culture. Each will be given a Vietnamese name which has the same meaning as his/her Chinese, Malay or Indian one. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who have completed 80 percent of homework required.
