Description:
Learn English In a Christian Home in England - Have the comfort in knowing that you or your child will live in the home of a Christian English Teacher - Share their stay with a Christian Family brought up on Christian Values - Learn English taught by a Mother-Tongue English Teacher. Tuition Be totally immersed in the English language and study on a 1-1 basis in the home of your teacher. Make immediate and rapid progress from our intensive course of lessons. Choose from ten to 30 hours per week for as short or as long as you wish. Students can stay for as long as they like but most stay between a week and a month. We also offer programmes shared with other students, perhaps relatives, school or church friends, or work colleagues, with discounts on our tuition and accommodation fees if you prefer. We can cater for up to six students in our home at any time and therefore small groups of up to six will be considered. For larger parties we have a small network of experienced, qualified English tutors who can accommodate students. Similarly we cater for students' parents or other guests who wish to accompany the students for part or all of their stay. However, living the English language without the distraction of speaking your own language is more likely to lay a good foundation and produce the best results in the longer term. Most students choose both tuition and accommodation. However, if you have already found your accommodation in England and are staying nearby we can provide a tuition only service for you.
Highlights:
About us Our teachers: Our English tutors are Christian, Mother-Tongue English and educated to Degree level or above with many years teaching experience. Our family: We are a Mum and Dad, and Girl (aged 16) and Boy (aged 13). Don't forget our cat from Switzerland! Our interests are varied and include: Lots of Sports; Outings and other Activities; Historic and Cultural places; Arts and Languages; Play Station and Computers; Cinema and Music; Piano and Singing; having lots of Fun; and of course being Christians. We are also always open to suggestions. We have lived in Switzerland for five years, so we know what it is like staying in a foreign country. Mum speaks both French and German, and knows some Italian too. So, if you or your child really needs to speak in your/their own language then there is someone at home who will listen sympathetically and understand. Activities: We can also provide an activity programme for you or your child that fits your budget. This can include: a day trip to London; sports; shopping; sports; theatre; and other outings. There's just so much to do in and around London! Just let us know your interests or your child's interests and anything special that you might have in mind. Accommodation: 1-1 students will have your own private room in a family, detached house with a large garden in a quiet cul-de-sac. Students in a group will share a bedroom or have a small single room. Spend time in our wonderful garden where you'll have great fun bouncing on our 3m (13ft) trampoline and playing table-tennis, badminton, swing ball and even football. You'll also enjoy playing table football, pool and other games, and of course sharing barbecues and other meals on the patio. Don't forget the free Internet access for Emails and chat messages to keep in touch with family and friends while you're away. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are normally shared with the English family, continuing with the learning experience. Arrival and Departure: You can choose the dates to suit you and/or your child. If it is your child's first time in England or if you're just a little anxious you can be assured that we shall collect them safely from your chosen London airport or from London Waterloo if they come by Eurostar. Similarly, we'll escort them to their place of departure to see them safely on their way home. Location: Purley is situated 20 Km (12 miles) south of central London with a regular train service from four nearby stations. Croydon, with the 3rd largest shopping centre in the South-East of England, is just a few minutes away. It takes only a few minutes and then you're in the countryside, and in 40 minutes you reach bustling Brighton on the South Coast. Purley is served by London's airports with Gatwick (our nearest airport) being only 25 minutes away. Local amenities include: Golf, Horse-riding; Ice-skating; Swimming; Tennis; and lots more. Donations to Charitable Organisations: Being part of the UK Evangelical Alliance, and being committed Christians, we donate 100% of our profits to charitable organisations. The charitable organisations include individual churches, the Evangelical Alliance and various Christian missions around the world. Word: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord not for men." (Colossians 3:23).

Cost Include Description:
The programme for each student is tailored specifically to your individual requirements. If you have any additional requests to ensure the comfort and happiness of you or your child whilst sharing in our learning experience then we'll be happy to consider them. 1-1 tuition together with such a personal service is traditionally more expensive than group lessons offered by language schools. However, we do not have the significant overheads of an international company or language school. We can therefore offer you this very special service at a very reasonable price, with the comfort for you of knowing that you or your child will be staying in a Christian home. For example, the cost of a single room with breakfast and 15 hours tuition is only a little more than £500. If this is still too much then consider 15 hours in a small group of six for £250. Please contact us by phone or Email and well be happy to discuss your requirements with you.
