One-to-One Homestay, living in the tutor's home, including private room, individual and customised tuition, full-board (all meals), participation in family life and activities, cultural visits and excursions. Eurolingua One-to-One Homestay Programmes are available all year and are suitable for students of any age (16 - 75 years) and language level (beginner to advanced). Ideal for personal interest, business, travel or examination revision purposes. All Eurolingua tutors are fully-qualified teachers and native speakers, experienced in teaching their mother tongue as a foreign language. The unique Eurolingua One-to-One Homestay Programme will ensure that you make maximum progress in the shortest possible time, whatever your starting level, beginner to advanced. You live full-board in the home of your fully-qualified foreign language tutor, receiving 4 hours per day (20 hours per week) of individual language tuition, specifically adapted to your own level, learning pace and interests, whether for business or pleasure!! The rest of the time you benefit from lots of conversational practice by participating in the usual everyday family activities of your personal tutor and family and by meeting people in the local community. You may, of course, have as much independent time as you wish. You acquire an authentic accent, total confidence and real fluency in the language. Excursions and Local Attractions Pukekohe Hill, Kariotahi black sand and surfing beach, Clarks Beach, Waiuku Forest and mouth of the Waikato river, historic township of Waiuku + museum, steam train trip and farm park (October to June), Pacific market, boat trip on the Manukau Harbour, Patumahoe Water Lily Gardens, Botanical Gardens, Saleyards, horse trotting practice, horse racing, car racing, Awhitu Peninsula and Pukekohe for souvenir shopping. Accommodation, Facilities and Local Area The property is a farmlet, with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, 500 metres from a delightful village in the heart of market garden country in the Franklin District. The nearest town is 9 minutes away and Auckland, New Zealand's largest city, is 1 hour by train or 45 minutes by car. There are 7 sheep (4 white and 3 black) 2 of which are tame and can be fed and petted. The student accommodation is self-contained and has a large study/homework area overlooking the garden. There are tea-making facilities, TV, electric blankets, fridge, heated towel rail and gas fire. Sandy beaches are close by. Golf courses, a sky diving centre, horse stud tours, fishing trips, jet boat rides and many other activities are all available in the vicinity. I have taught almost every nationality and having studied and learnt other languages myself, I am sympathetic to the language learner. I have a lot of patience and really enjoy connecting with people. Over the years I have taught folk from 5 to 50+ years and made many friends. I was a refugee support worker in 2001 and have been a mentor to a secondary school student. Both these activities involved courses centred on understanding the human race !
