Hobbies and Interests Swimming, cooking, cinema, foreign languages, spending time with sons Fraser (4) and Calum (2), walking, reading, painting, computers. I enjoy sport - swimming and tennis in particular. I like to use my languages when I can and as a result of this have travelled widely in Europe, USA, Australasia, the Middle East and South East Asia. I enjoy watching netball and played competitively from a very young age. I spend much of my free time listening to music and experimenting with new dishes to cook for my husband and two sons. Excursions and Local Attractions Akaroa (first French settlers), local markets, Kaikoura (whale watching), new art gallery, interactive museum, Hanmer Springs (Thermal Pool Resort), Christchurch Botanical gardens, scenic funicular cableway, arts centre market, local picnic areas, cinema, theatre, fishing, swimming pool and leisure centre. Accommodation, Facilities and Local Area The new property, designed by a leading Christchurch architect, is very attractive with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is on two levels and is constructed of brick with beautiful open and sunny living spaces and an attractive garden. We enjoy barbecues on the patio and picnics on the lawn. We are located right next to a small reserve with a stream which accommodates our many ducks!!!!!! We are fortunate to live 7 minutes from the city but at the same time to be surrounded by fields and hills. The property boasts plenty of space, is very comfortable and has a delightful rural aspect. The cinemas are 8 minutes away and the local shops and supermarkets are 5 only minutes. We are 2 minutes from the local bus service, 4 minutes from the local leisure centre and 1 minute from the local park. The house is set well back from the road and so is tranquil. Our neighbours are friendly and quiet and pride themselves on their prize-winning gardens! The area itself is one of the best in Christchurch and is beautifully maintained by both the city council and local people.
