Eurolingua One-to-One Homestay Programmes are available all year and are suitable for students of any age (16 - 75 years) and language level (beginner to advanced). Ideal for personal interest, business, travel or examination revision purposes. All Eurolingua tutors are fully-qualified teachers and native speakers, experienced in teaching their mother tongue as a foreign language.

The unique Eurolingua One-to-One Homestay Programme will ensure that you make maximum progress in the shortest possible time, whatever your starting level, beginner to advanced. You live full-board in the home of your fully-qualified foreign language tutor, receiving 4 hours per day (20 hours per week) of individual language tuition, specifically adapted to your own level, learning pace and interests, whether for business or pleasure!! The rest of the time you benefit from lots of conversational practice by participating in the usual everyday family activities of your personal tutor and family and by meeting people in the local community. You may, of course, have as much independent time as you wish. You acquire an authentic accent, total confidence and real fluency in the language.

Teaching Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor of Arts, Business and Economics, 1961. ESL Adult Education certificate, State of California, renewed 2003 EFL, University of California, 2000. My wife is native Colombian, South America, and teaches Spanish in the evenings. She is also a computer lab instructor for elementary school.

Hobbies and Interests
Hiking in local parks, ocean swimming, library book reading, exercise in the gym, visiting small towns in the area, travel to foreign countries, meeting people from other countries.

University of Florida, 40,000 enrollment, in Gainesville, NFL Jacksonville Jaguars, football, NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers, football, Orlando Jazz, basketball, Tampa, hockey, Orlando Disneyworld, Miami beaches, football, basketball, hockey. All cities within a 2 hour drive. Miami is 6 hours. Beaches in Tampa, St. Augustine, Daytona Beach. Historic buildings in Gainesville. Various parks throughout Gainesville. Museums in Gainesville. Local cuisine, Northern Florida, beef ribs, BBQ, chicken wings, boiled peanuts, fresh fruit, oranges. Animal zoo, local lakes with alligators. Very warm weather, winters average 70 F and summers, 90 F. Tropical rain showers, but limited. Gainesville ranks as one of the best places to live in USA.

Accommodation, Facilities and Local Area
I can bring a continuity for a homestay, I am semi-retired, and love teaching English and working with foreign students. Florida is a great location for students with the prestigious University of Florida, one of the largest and most comprehensive in the nation. My wife and I can accommodate 2 students, and we have other locations, if there are more than 2 at any time.
