Highlights: Cordoba is the second most important city in Argentina with 1.3 million inhabitants and it is called the "Heartland of Argentina." It is located at the intersection of the routes that went from Chile and the Alto Peru (Bolivia) to the port of Buenos Aires; it was the most important city during the colonial period. Some 300 years later, Cordoba has retained its rich colonial heritage, as shown by its culture and architecture.

Blessed in location at the base of the breath-taking Sierras. Cordoba is the perfect university town everyone is sure to fall in love with. Cordoba province is also one of the main tourist resources of the country. The natural beauty of the mountains gives this city a youthful outdoorsy vibrancy, providing many excursions for the outdoor enthusiasts. In 2000, Cordoba was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Prior to the rise of Buenos Aires, Cordoba was Argentina's center of arts and learning, a place of scholars and priests, churches and universities.

Cordoba is a safe and modern city with vibrant youth culture, second in stature only to Buenos Aires, although with a much lower cost of living. There are fewer international tourists so the environment is more immersive. There are many excellent venues for theatre, operas, cultural presentations, interesting museums and much more.
