Description: Explore ancient Mayan ruins and culture and learn Spanish in Copan Ruinas, Honduras. Copan Ruinas is a small, cobble-street town, nestled among beautiful hills, about a half hour drive from the Guatemala Honduras border and a great stop-off point for traveling to the Bay Islands in the Caribbean and the rest of Central America. Whether you have never spoken a word of Spanish in your life, or would like to brush up on your existing skills, you can enroll in the Spanish School for any length of time, from one week and upwards. Each week, you will have twenty hours of one-to-one Spanish classes (based on skill level), usually taken in the mornings, with homework set each day for the afternoons. As a student, you will stay with a local family to give you ample opportunity to practice your language skills and experience the local way of life. Also included are: pickup from the airport in Guatemala and transport to Antigua, first night accommodation in Antigua and overland travel to Honduras plus a guided tour of the Copan Ruins, some of the most detailed relics of the Mayan Empire.
