Greece
Term: Throughout the year
Dates: Weekly/Monthly
Description:
About The NRCSA Center The NRCSA Center in Athens is centrally located with easy access to many of the great sites Greece has to offer. Nearby points of interest include Athens University, the Polytechnic School, the National Library, and the Archaeological Museum. The academic staff has successfully worked to develop a methodology that incorporates a background of Greek culture along with language acquisition so that students can learn the actual connotations of words. This approach has proven to be invaluable to students in their social or professional life while in Greece. All teachers have obtained university training and are native speakers. Additionally, they have received special training in teaching Greek as a foreign language. Individual attention is given to each student, and is of great importance to ensure maximum understanding. Both teachers and staff are more than happy to provide support and any assistance students may need. All students from around the world are welcome to attend. About Athens Athens is the capital of Greece, and one of the oldest cities in the world. The city is busy and creative from morning to night, carefree and lovely from evening to dawn. A history of more than 2,500 years is evident in every crossroad: the hill of the Acropolis with the Parthenon, the nearby Roman Theatre, the Ancient Agora, the Roman Market, the remains of Byzantine Monastic life in Kessariani and Dafni Monastery, where the frescoes are as lively as they were some 1,500 years ago. The school's location in Athens makes it easy for students to walk to points of interest, restaurants, and shopping areas. The school's six-story building houses nine air-conditioned classrooms, an auditorium for audiovisual instruction, a well equipped computer information laboratory with full internet access, a cafeteria and a library. About Chania Chania (Hania) is located on the northwest coast of Crete. This is a picturesque city and walking through Chania means coming across Minoan remains as well as Byzantine, Venetian, Ottoman and Neoclassical landmarks left by the different civilizations which flourished on the island and have been kept alive in the traditions and customs of the inhabitants. The Venetian harbor of Chania is ringed with restaurants, taverns, cafeterias and ouzo bars. From there and through narrow streets the city invites visitors to its mysteries. The city also boasts the Archaeological and the Historical Museums, Venetian churches, Greek churches with old Byzantine frescoes, the Municipal Market, and the Halepa Quarter.
