Description: Our Spanish Language Immersion Program is a unique way to learn Spanish while exploring such themes as Bolivian history and current social issues and events.

The school is located in downtown Cochabamba's cultural district and is easily accessible from any part of the city. Our school houses an in-house multimedia library and book exchange which anyone is welcome to use. This library includes recent documentaries made about Bolivia as well as Bolivian films.

Classes are for beginner, intermediate or advanced students and scheduling is flexible. All classes are one-on-one unless you specifically ask for group classes. In order to provide you with a customized instruction program your language level is determined in an informal interview with a member of the teaching staff.

There is no standard teaching text as each lesson is individually design for the student, using conversation and quality texts as desired. Additionally to complement your language study we periodically offer talks, cultural events, and trips to historical and cultural sites around Cochabamba and beyond.

Immersion Language Program

This program is the most intensive language study program we offer and is recommended for beginning students who want a strong foundation or for more advanced students working to perfect their languages skills. The basic course is one month long and covers all verb tenses and basic grammatical constructions.

In order to provide the most effective teaching methodology you will work with two teachers who work as a team in designing your daily lessons. The immersion program consists of 2 daily, hour and a half sessions, one session with each professor. All of our professors have more than 15 years of teaching experience and are well trained in teaching Spanish as a second language.

Weekly Classes

For travellers, long-termers, or our volunteers who want to keep studying Spanish after they finish the immersion course, we offer the option of studying by the week. These sessions can be arranged according to your schedule and needs. We also offer classes that focus in advanced grammar, writing and reading.

Volunteer Bolivia- Cochabamba's Mission Statement: Volunteer Bolivia offers one of the best international volunteer programs in Latin America. It was founded in 2001 by Bolivians and foreigners with the goal of providing a bridge to understanding Bolivia and her people. We have grown to become the only in-country based volunteer organization in Bolivia. Located in Cochabamba, we offer a unique combination of Spanish language immersion, volunteer work and homestays. Our volunteers work in micro-enterprises, literacy centers, and children's services. We work with a wide range of humanitarian and social organizations providing an authentic service learning experience and the chance to make a difference.
