Description: What to do during summer break presents a real conflict for many families. Parents often want a challenging academic experience for their kids, while kids are often more concerned with having fun. MMLA combines both a rigorous language school and an exciting summer camp - no need to choose!

MMLA is an intensive program -- a 24/7 language and cultural immersion populated with other students who really want to learn. The proven success of Middlebury's time-tested Language Pledge, together with a curriculum designed specifically for the learning styles of middle- and high-school students, transform each moment of the day into an opportunity to make real progress learning a language.

By really using the language while writing for the Chinese camp newspaper, ordering dinner at a taquería, interacting with locals at a French cultural festival, or choosing and downloading Arabic pop music and receiving instant, individualized feedback from teachers students will have the opportunity to learn more in four weeks at MMLA than in a whole year of regular school.

No matter the language or level, campers' language skills will really take off at MMLA and they'll be having so much fun, they might not even notice!
