Description: Immerse yourself in Spanish and fascinating Latin American culture on a month long Spanish language projects in Costa Rica.

With 60 hours of classes on a one on one basis with a qualified teacher, you'll learn quickly, especially as you will have plenty of opportunities to practice your new skills while you are staying with your Spanish speaking host family!

The intensive classes are tailored to suit your ability. Whether you are a complete beginner or have been learning Spanish for several years, being surrounded by the language every day will help your skills progress in leaps and bounds. After your lessons there is plenty of free time, in which you can explore the local area after you've done your homework, of course!

You can also choose to study Spanish while participating in a volunteer placement. Our 14 hours Spanish language classes are tailored to your needs and run alongside your main volunteer project. If you are planning on volunteering abroad for three months or more, you could also complete a 60 hour course alongside your placement. Learn Spanish in Central America

Join a Spanish Language Project in Costa Rica, in the small, picturesque town of Liberia. Costa Rica is a rugged country with many national parks, mountains and volcanoes. It's also a great place to use as a base to visit other Central American countries like Nicaragua and Panama. After completing a Spanish Language Project in Costa Rica you could also participate in voluntary work placements in Teaching, Care, Sports and Conservation.

In the heart of Latin America, it is a country of contrasts and a varied mix of landscapes and cultures. Its wide range of attractions includes volcanoes, tropical rainforests, magnificent waterfalls and beautiful sandy beaches. Known as an environmental wonderland, Costa Rica is renowned for its biodiversity and many national parks, and boasts an array of wildlife from crocodiles and monkeys to whales and dolphins.

All accommodation is organized, paid for and monitored by Projects Abroad. All project placements are regularly visited and checked. We require high standards of supervision and accommodation, which are verified before you arrive in Costa Rica.
