The School of Chinese Language (Zhong Wen Xue Xiao) would be inaugurated by His Excellency, the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kolkata, on 27th July, 2008. However, we are trying to bring forward the opening date to sometime in June, 2008. We propose to have classes twice weekly, with a Special Review class once or even twice monthly as necessary. The 1st session is on Tue and Sat - 6 pm to 8 pm. We also plan another session on Tue and Fri - 3.45 pm to 5.45 pm. The final timings and days of the additional session are dependent upon the number of applicants. The Review class would be on the first Wednesday every month, 1 pm to 3 pm. There would be two Courses to begin with: Crash I - 3 months - very basic Crash II - 6 months - basic We also propose to start a 12/24/36 month Intensive Course in Mandarin which would be more comprehensive and get into grammar, stroke orders and character writing. Highlights:
Classes would be held at Sunny Park in Ballygunge, in airconditioned comfort. Audio-video aids and authentic assistance by Chinese teachers would be provided, together with study material. Stress would be laid on correct phonetics. Fees would be Rs. 2500 per month, payable in advance for the Crash courses. However, we plan to provide an Inaugural discount for students joining in 2008, which would be advised you if you provide us your email/phone contact. We are sure you are aware that Chinese is one of the most difficult languages on earth. Therefore practice and dedication would be a very important part of the learning process.
