Description: The Learning Development Center was established in 1999 and is regarded as an innovative learning institution in the Red Sea area.

Began in the summer of 2008 is our latest language program developed for foreign students interested to visit Egypt to master the Egyptian Arabic language. The LDC has designed 3 programs that are inclusive of classroom instruction with a certified Arabic Language teacher, course materials, field trips, and studio flat accommodations.

Accommodations are in private flats equipped with all the comforts of home in order for you to study and succeed in mastering the Egyptian Arabic language. Living facilities are equipped with private bath, air-conditioning, TV with satellite, internet access, kitchenette, and a balcony.

In the center, there are air-conditioned classrooms, a full library, plenty of study areas as well as a staff in which to interact with. There is a kitchen and dining area, and an internet cafe on the premises..

The center is situated in a charming small town of Al Quseir on the Red Sea Coast. It is the perfect location to study a language where you will be immersed in an environment conducive to practice your new found knowledge of the Egyptian Colloquial dialect. Egyptian people are extremely warm and friendly and will go out of their way to help you develop your skills.

Note: The school is closed on Fridays.

Highlights: The LDC is located on the spectacular Red Sea Coast -- the ideal tranquility of the area is perfect to study the Arabic language. Al Quseir is 130km from Mars Alam and 130km from Hurghada. Besides boasting many historical sites, the Red Sea is well known for the fascination of the underwater world -- scuba, snorkeling windsurfing, and fishing are very polular sports here. Al Quseir is also situated 3 hours away by car to Luxor.   

Cost in US$: Rates begin at $300

$550 USD 1-month course includes all listed in the 15-day program plus understanding the sentence structure of the language, building your vocabulary, and practicing conversational skills. In this you will begin to read simple stories and practice comprehension. Total class instruction is 24 hours over a month period. This package will include five field trips to further practice your communication skills.

$700 USD 2-month course includes all the above plus intensive instruction on reading various periodicals and writing assignments where your vocabulary and expressions are greatly increased. Arabic films and music will be introduced to enhance your level of comprehension. Total class instruction is 42 hours over an 8-week period. Ten field trips are included in this package.

Included in the cost listed above is the appropriate program, the use of teaching materials, placement tests to determine your progress, and cultural and social activities. Upon request, language proficiency certificate is available at the end of the program.

Learning and Development Center of Al Quseir's Mission Statement: The Learning and Development Center (LDC) is an educational foundation dedicated to the community of Al Quseir and its environs. The primary goal was to involve the local community of Al Quseir in order to create job opportunities and provide various education and constructive communication skills. The three main areas of instruction include Information Communication Technology (ICT), Children and Special Needs (CSN), and Language instruction. The idea behind the LDC originated and grew from international investments who wanted to assist the citizens of Quseir to cope with the major social and economic challenges posed by the changing role of the city. Al Quseir has been rapidly burgeoning from a mining outpost into a tourist focal point in this remote region of the Red Sea.
